Many many years ago before I started painting on my own I was lucky enough to catch a viewing of art by Van Gogh and many of his equal peers in Las Vegas.
What stood out to me was the rawness of it, I could see drips and drabs that turn invisible when viewing a photograph of the same painting.
It made the painting real, it made the artist real.
There is no masking of color or altering of focus by the camera lens.
Art in it's raw state has a beauty that is unsurpassed by any reproduction, no matter how clever.
