The Crowd Awaits With Bated Breath For The End of Fascism in America

The Crowd Awaits With Bated Breath For The End of Fascism in America  3 Feet by 4 Feet

This latest painting of mine catches

the tired yet stoic waiting for word of

the end of fascism in America.

The impatient duck in the bottom left

 hand corner symbolizes the moment

of now and our impatience to remove

it now, not one minute more.

The dark green democratic donkey

with dull eyes, to me symbolizes the

Democratic Party must not be hypnotized into thinking they have no

 power to do anything.

They need to stand up strongly and

now.

The 331 came up randomly on the

women's pink shirt maybe it is a date,

maybe a time.

My own spoiler alert take - We are

going to be greatly pleased at the end.

ENHANCED ANALYSIS:

What strikes me about it is the

tension between unity and

individuality.

Everyone is looking toward the same

unseen point, but each figure brings a

different story, role, or perspective.

The bowed donkey introduces

humility and weariness; the duck at

the front, looking upward, adds

note

of impatience or questioning; the

lantern bearer suggests guidance or

hope.

The mixture of ordinary people,

symbolic figures, and animals creates

something that feels less like a crowd

and more like a community waiting

for revelation.

The lowered head of the donkey

changes the emotional balance

significantly.

Instead of simply being another

observer, it becomes a counterpoint

to the upward gazes around it—

almost carrying the weight of

 waiting,

disappointment, endurance, or quiet submission.

Then the duck, moved to the front and

looking up, becomes a kind of voice

 for the crowd's restless

 expectation.

What's especially effective is that the

image doesn't tell the viewer exactly

 what everyone is looking at.
