When Strength Appears Oppression Disappears is a painting that was to be originally titled "Women" as woman after woman kept appearing in the painting as the painting progressed.
As with all my art I never intend subject I just let the canvas go where it will, and where it went was women.
All different ethnicity's of women.
Even though no subject is originally intended when I start a painting, I do read the painting as I proceed because my paintings always tell a story.
Since I am very concerned about the state of our nation with a misogynist like Trump at the helm.
I am going to read this painting as oppression disappearing when strength appears
Women love yourselves.
We are not second rate men.
We are first rate women.
Never let a man subjugate you, dominate you, humiliate you, treat you as less.
Be strong in your confidence.
For after all what a sad place a world devoid of women would be.
