All Artists seek to create.
It's in the blood.
And to create something brand new that you've never
done before, what a rush!
So of course when I started creating pillows for myself, I
found myself unable to stop hahaha.
So many beautiful patterns, colors and textures!!
But I digress, you're reading this because you want to
know what in the world is a metaphysical pillow?
And I will now enlighten you :) .
PPS: Go to the very bottom of the article, and I mean
very bottom, (best to read
through it though).,but if you're impatient, skip down to
the bottom and I will tell you what I have come to
realize that causes me to label these pillows
metaphysical.
When I started making the pillows I wanted them to be
not only beautiful but the most comfortable pillows in
the world, so I settled on gel memory foam to stuff them
with.
Now the cool part about the gel memory foam is this - it
is so malleable, it just seeks to fill that pillow in
whatever way it wants to fill that pillow, and this is
where the metaphysical aspect comes into play.
I discovered early on with one that a bump at the bottom
formed on the bottom by accident,
While it was an accident at first, I soon discovered the
incredible benefit of it in fitting into the small of your
back when you sit against the pillow -utterly sublime!!!
Also sublime is when laying down to put the bump at the
back of the head.
One's heavy skull ( and believe me all skulls are heavy
😱), then depresses the pillow bump, bringing the level
of it into alignment with the spine forming a cushioning
cocoon of the pillow.
The pillows seem to take on the shape of their design as if
the message inherit in the design determines the
ultimate shape of the pillow.

In this one pillow of a cheetah taking tea for example,
when the pillow was complete, the sides of it shaped like
a woman's body, and I take the cheetah in this pillow to
be very much a woman.
She's very feminine looking , much like my female
orange cat Charlotte, whom she reminds me of.
Also cheetahs, even males, have a very sleek look about
them which this pillow definitely has.

My next example is the alligator pillow.
Now the alligator pillow is cool just in itself, before you
even make it into a pillow, and the pillow turned out
real fat, real solid, real heavy.
Like an alligator,
Just goes to show 😉!
The initial reason the alligator pillow appealed to me so,
was of the light behind him and if you look closely you
can see two shoots of light also coming from his nose.
Upon closer inspection when I received the pillowcase
(these pillowcases are not my designs. I am working on
my designs now, but I don't have any up yet), the
alligator is standing on a very dark black wood piling or
a rock.
As alligators symbolize the dark shadow in us, the black
unconscious dark shadow, this alligator has risen above
it and is encircled by the light and since he is shooting
light from his nose (knows) it indicates he has become
enlightened.

My third example is my fish pillow.
For whatever reason it has an extremely distinct curve to
it.
In fact I did three fish pillows, all slightly different
designs and they all curve like the same way for no
reason that I can tell.
Close to a u-shape.
But the curvature of the pillow fits perfectly over the
arms of a sofa so one can lay on the sofa and rest their
head on it.
It is ideal.
All my pillows are the same size, they're all 18 inches by
18 inches.
As I am using the exact same filling for each one it is
amazing to me how the pillows morph into whatever
they wish to morph into.
Some are very solid and heavy and some are light like
the air.
My take is that the pillow will go to the individual who it
is intended to go to and will fit them perfectly.
They are so comfortable that I will not sit or lie without a
pillow, I mean one of these pillows!
And that is the end of my elucidation on what a
metaphysical pillow is.
But I would like to add my goal in making these pillows
and the goal of them being metaphysical, is not to make a
perfectly square flat pillow.
Not one single pillow is a square, flat, perfectly even
pillow.
If they were, you could buy them in a store.
The reason they work so well is because of all the
unevenness in the shape of them and that indeed is what
makes them metaphysical, they go to who they're meant
to go to.
No one's aches and pains are identical, just as no one's leg
is identical to another's.
No hips are identical to another's.
No backs are identical to another's, so these are not one
size fits all but these are very, very, very, very
comfortable.
They are for sale at $50 apiece.
But be aware the cost of mailing them will be very high.
Also these are indoor pillows not outdoors and that is
because of the gel foam inside, which can you cannot get
wet.
I will also update this with new designs I make and also
the pillows that will feature my art.
