Getting In on The Ground Level By Buying an Artist Poised To Emerge As Very Valuable

Desert Sunset Vanquished Sun - Mitro  16" by 20"
Getting in on the ground level of an artist's art before it's value skyrockets is essential to making a huge profit in the art market.
Like stocks and bonds it is essential to keep one's ear to the ground to buy that art before it's price goes through the roof.
The biggest money pay off goes to the one who see's the value in the little known name. Much like the movie star who starts an ingenue and salary price is cheap, only to explode into a super star with a salary in the 8 digits.
To buy a known name is good and safe but the price you pay will reflect that that one is already known.
To buy a name, that one says who is that, and to have that art explode in value, well that is the thrill that is the adrenalin rush.
That is the most profitable investment  you can ever make.

The Universe Talks to the World Though My Art or Things That Go Bump in the Night

As a firm believer in many planes of spiritual existence occurring simultaneously.
I am delighted to see images come up unbidden on each blank canvas I start.
Akin to automatic writing it is automatic painting.
I never know what image will come up until it comes up.
If one buys the theory that anything and everything is electrical vibration which I truly do, it stands to reason that a canvas magnetized with electrical energy for a specific painting would not only be possible but very probable.
For the canvas since it is physical, has to be vibrating electrical energy also.
Add into the mix a artist like myself that  truly believes and so truly allows, and you get psychic images every time you paint.
My work consists of smearing swiping and brushing various colors onto a white canvas and then inserting random slashes of lines with an oil stick, and then as the smears and swipes turn into identifiable images I can only conclude that the canvas is magnetized and holds onto paint in a pixel like way.
Some might say I am cheating that I am drawing, but I assure you I am absolutely not.
I believe that it is my release of control that allows chance.
By not purposely creating I am allowing the universe to paint the painting and with it's divine wisdom it creates exactly what it needs to create for ultimate meaning.
It is akin to the shuffling of tarot cards picked randomly and read but my paintings are more precise because the pictorial aspects are tailor made and each one unique.
I am always amazed myself when the images come up.

The Marriage of the Old Masters With Futuristic Art - Mitro
This particular painting I titled Marriage.
It is the marriage of the old and the new in Art.
The old a knight bridegroom with a Prince Valiant hair cut and a happy go lucky look on his face.
The new an alien bride with a pious sour look on her face as she appears to sacrifice herself to this     marriage.
The preacher is a beautiful purple horse of some sort seen on the left hand side of the painting.
If you look beside the couple you will see a candle lit for the marriage ceremony throwing light on   the union.
You will also see a wedding guest at the very bottom of the left hand side of the painting.
Most important of all if you look carefully at the bottom right hand side of the painting, right below the couple, you will see the future child of the marriage an animal curled in sleep and waiting to be born.
Look for his eye first and his shape should become apparent to you.
As it is set in a futuristic setting the future is absorbing the old and by the fusion of marriage, evolving into the now.

Sea Horse and Lion - Mitro

Sea horse and Lion is a perfect example of my magnetized canvas.
If you look at the bottom left of the painting you will see a very skillfully drawn lion complete with mane
On the right you will see a sea horse and a man in the very bottom of the right side.
I did not draw any of these images they all appear as I swipe paint and crayons indiscriminately across the blank canvas.
There appears to be in my paintings a transference of the energy stream of the scene presented onto the canvas, so my painting vibrate with the actual energy of the scene they present for viewing.

Please Don't Leave Your Head Behind, Take it With You

Please Don't Leave Your Head Behind, Take it With You - Mitro  36" by 48"  $2,000,000

Don't leave your head is about the fact that although we might dance through our lives in complete ignorance of our true spiritual nature, as mind creates reality only through our thoughts we cannot leave our head behind it is forever and irrevocably attached to our reality.

This is truly an illusionistic painting.
By this I mean the image in the painting changes whenever the viewer changes their distance from the canvas or the angle they are viewing the painting from, even the height on the wall they view the painting at.
The basic painting is a man' s head separated from his torso in his hurry in life to get where he is going.
The head is tethered to the body with a fine string and encased in a balloon.
The head can be seen as a chipmunk head, a sugar glider head (viewed forward), or of  a Frenchman with a beret on or a Arabic man wearing a Keffiyeh (viewed backward)
The body can be seen as running with a tray, or from a different viewing perspective, as dancing.
From another perspective you can also see the body turn into a dancing Tasmanian Devil. Taz
When the size of the picture is shrunk small the leaf in the right top becomes 3D.
The symbol Om can be seen clearly in the head
Truly a very cool painting, if I do say so myself. And I do,smile

Chaos A Crucial Element For Spiritual Growth

Chaos A Crucial Element For Spiritual Growth - Mitro  11" by 14"  $50,000

Chaos is about the absolute essential need for chaos in growing.

If one is never pushed out of complacency one never becomes larger.
So the next time you find yourself cursing some bad event that has befallen you remember without hardship there is no advancement.
Looking at this painting you will see a red orb of creation energy already expanding into creation mode.
In the beginning this painting shows you just clashing colors but if you look closely you can see the beautiful picture it is already starting to form.

The Wisdom of the Ages

The Wisdom of the Ages - Mitro 11" by 14"  $50,000
The wisdom of the ages passed from generation to generation, but  only heeded or absorbed by those eager to learn.

Wisdom can only be gained through experience whether that experience is gained in this lifetime or a previous life is moot.
In this painting we see a large older duck to the right of the painting talking to his pupil a small green dinosaur sitting on a rock at the bottom center of the painting.
They are separated by a thick black line.
In a aside to all of us who wish to impart wisdom to the next generation let us teach not dry facts but exciting revelations through experience.

Jesus Preaches While Kittens Reign Down

Jesus Preaches While Kittens Reign Down  16" by 20"  $125,000
Jesus Preaches is about turning on the light to banish the darkness or soul staining of self flagellation, and by doing so being able to evolve spiritually to the next level.

If you look at the bottom right hand side of the painting you will see Jesus with his back turned to the viewer with arm outstretched and long aqua colored hair with a white swirl on the back of his robe, preaching to a red man dancing on the the left
The white swirl I take to be the holy spirit.
Above in the sky you will see kittens reigning down from the sky.
In the hem of Jesus's robe you will see a tiny perfectly formed cat sitting in the grass.
If you look at the red man you will also see an eye underneath his arm.
If you look closely at the painting there are many more to see.
It is a very complex image.

Crab

Sitting on the beach sipping Orangeade
I want to talk about politics but it seems to make the pounding
 waves feel small
The sun beats on my shoulder and face
and makes me feel warm and good
  I know things are good
I follow a crab on a short dive down his crab home
  I feel for the guy
who is the guy behind the crab mask
when people look at him they see food
the crab pops out again and looks at me
  trust takes time
  I carry on

New Painting in Progress - Alien Creator As a Small Child

Painting in Progress - Mitro
New painting in progress tentatively called Alien Creator As a Small Child
To the right side of the painting you see a large alien.
I call him a child as what he is creating are garden plants that grow toys.
Looking to the left at the plants you see a small yellow car growing ready to be harvested.
April 1, 2016 still working on it
In a more complete state of growth you see a light green toy animal that needs a little more growth time before the child can pluck it.
Alien Creator As a Small Child - Mitro

I have decided to continue with the progress of the painting by adding photos of it as it develops.

July 6, 2016  Painting still in progress

At this stage of the painting you can see a definite fish pop up in the center, a little girl or probably a doll all in yellow, and at the bottom left hand corner you see a face taking on more shape with what looks like a diving helmet with green rims around the eye.
Also at the top right of the painting you can see the Mama alien watching over her child with a purple face along with a red bodice and yellow skirt.

Ziggy's Final Voyage Into the Bright White Tunnel, A Tribute to David Bowie

This painting is in tribute to David Bowie and a thanks for his song Changes which helped me through my college years.
Phenomenal song, phenomenal artist.
Ziggy's Final Voyage Into the Bright White Tunnel, A Tribute to David Bowie - Mitro  16" by 20"  $125,000

If you look at the painting you will see Ziggy with arms outstretched flying through the famous tunnel of light oft reported in near death experiences.
You see his brilliant orange hair and his famous star on his chest.
You will also see the circle on his forehead duplicated 4 times.
As with all of my paintings I never intend subject matter it only makes itself apparent somewhere in the creation time.
I only realized this was David myself after I had an uncontrollable urge to paint the red star on his chest and I heard of his death hours later.

Who is the Greatest Art Dealer of All Time - Envelope Please

The greatest art dealer of all time was working against 3 major obstacles.
One she was a woman in a time when women had few rights.
Number two she lived in a time when there was no internet.
Number three she was single mother.
The greatest art dealer of all time was Johanna van Gogh, sister in law to Vincent van Gogh.
Taking possession of Vincents total cache of paintings at a time when only one had been sold, she managed to parlay him into one of the most famous and most expensive selling artists of all time.
To learn how she accomplished such a tremendous feat with all odds stacked against her read

Fallingwater a Tribute to Frank Lloyd Wright

Actual Fallingwater in Pennsylania
Fallingwater a Tribute to Frank Lloyd Wright - Mitro  11" by 14"  SOLD
Looking at the painting "Fallingwater a Tribute to Frank Lloyd Wright" side by side with a photograph of the actual Fallingwater, we can see the remarkable similarity even though the first painting was painted as a complete abstract.
We also see the same color scheme and same falling water :).
Living in Pennsylvania for almost my entire life I guess it was only natural for me to  pick up something I have heard referred to as architectural genius all my life, and also something so very beautiful!
Beautiful muse, beautiful painting.

Time for Beautiful Imagery in the Creative World, 5 Reasons We Need Lightness and Happy in Our Arts

Who ever looked around and said I want to look at only black dark things in my life?

I am writing this after I looked at a poem someone asked others to critique on Quora.

I should know better by now, but I always assume the best until the worst is confirmed.

Why do most poets write in such angst and misery.

Why is most poetry about betrayal, death, misery and other assorted blackness.

The world is counting on our culture through the creative arts to  provide a blueprint of where we would like to go and what we would like to see reflected in our world.

For this reason I am going to list 5 reasons why we need lightness and beauty in the creative world.

1, When we read and view happy subject matter it makes us what?
It makes us happy and I think everyone will agree to be happy is a very desirable goal.

By Katheleen Mitro

2. When we produce pretty instead of ugly we make a beautiful image template for the mind.
We smile when we bring the image up in our mind.
And once again to smile is also a very good thing.

Bunny Rabbit on a Mission - Mitro

3. When we work in brilliant happy colors we thrown beautiful color into our lives.
We can change a gray world into a sunny happy world.

Sunny Beautiful Colors
Africa and The Dance Within - Mitro

4 The energy that surrounds us is the energy we put into our life by what we give our attention to.

When we give attention to beauty we draw beauty into our lives and surround ourselves with the energy of beauty.

Truth - Mitro

5. Because we can.

All creativity starts with the individual creating it, and they have a choice dark or light.

They can choose to create happy, create beauty and help us make our lives a reflection of it.

The world is reeling at the moment from so many terrorist attacks, with many wondering if this not the path of the world forever, forward.

Art inspires, art makes one feel.
The question is do we want more people inspired darkly through darkness in our arts, or do we want to throw some sunshine and joy in the world for people to feel and emulate?

 And I say why not.

What a cheap fix.

To choose to pen a happy poem instead of a depressing poem.

To choose to paint a  happy picture instead of a dark violent picture.

Just sayin.

For me I always choose to create happy, and blissfully my own life is a very happy one indeed.

Muddled Ingress

Muddled Ingress - Mitro  16" by 20"  $125,000
Muddled Ingress is self explanatory.
If you look at the top left hand portion of the painting you will see the face of a man.
Surrounding him are the myriad pathways he may choose to reach his desired life goal.
It is the confusion of paths that may or may not be taken in life, and the tremendous angst one feels before embarking on a new path by agonizing over which is the correct path to take.
One must embark into newness joyfully and  without trepidation instead of being drawn into muddy colored  pathways to reach desired financial security.
It is and always has been, the joy of the journey for when you enjoy the journey it will always invariably have a great end.
By the way the path that feels good to your heart is always the correct one.
Feels good, is good.

Random Slashes With Oil Stick and Voila an Angel

Africa a Tribute to Nelson Mandela 2015 Land of Sun  - Mitro  36" by 48"  Painting in Progress

Working on a new painting which always starts abstract and then turns into something and I see Africa in this picture by the African women's head in a blue turban in the upper right hand corner.
Since I am working on hunger relief in Africa in this minute this is very understandable.
I see a lot of brilliant sunshine and beautiful green mountains.
The coolest part though is I did very random slashes with a black oil stick and I see very discernable images from it.
It looks like I have sketched in figures and I have absolutely not.
The one figure looks like a man emerging from the water in complete black outline in the bottom left hand corner.
The other appears to be an angel beneath him in blue robe and outstretched arms.
It will be very interesting to see the finished painting.

In Memory of Cy Twombly Lavender Roses 2015

In Memory of Cy Twombly 2015 Lavender Roses

As I was painting this painting my hand was guided to scribble with my oil stick.
When I was done it occurred to me it looked like Cy Twombly's blackboard painting so I feel it was his hand guiding mine.
I am not sure what the ladder ascending into the heavens mean but I am sure it must have something to do with his life.
The lavender roses just hit me as something I wanted to add just the tiniest pop of color against the monochromatic shades of green.
